During dinner conversation, Joe told us that his dad had delivered groceries to Albert Einstein in Hopewell, NJ. Joe is a fabulous story teller with a wonderful sense of humor.
Eric, Greta and I had a great tour guide, yesterday, our cousin Pam. Our adventures started in Santa Rosa with a stop at Pam’s favorite thrift stores and although Greta and I both love to thrift we did not make any purchases. Greta suitcase is full, as is my SUV!
It was interesting to hear about the Tubbs fire in 2017 in Santa Rosa. It destroyed 5,000 homes and 22 people died. The fire came within a quarter mile of Pam and Joe’s home. When my dad died we sent all his clothes to Pam to give to those who were rebuilding their lives.
From Santa Rosa we headed north to see the sculpture garden in Geyserville and then stopped at Coppola’s Winery, a beautiful place. We walked around Healdsburg, a play land for the wealthy. We then met Pam’s daughter, Rachel, at J Winery for a champagne and wine tasting that was brimming with delightful conversation and an abundance of laughter.
Our evening consisted of a family dinner with shared stories and hilarity.
