Endless Beauty

Yesterday I drove from the beauty of Lake Chelan to more beauty across the state of Washington. The countryside was filled with fruit vineyards and beautiful landscapes.

I arrived at my campsite at Wenatchee National Forest which borders Mount Rainier National Park, unfortunely, it was after dark and it was really dark. However, I found setting up the roof nest in the dark proved to be much easier than setting up a traditional tent in the dark.

I did not wake up in time to get to the Sunrise Ridge in time for the sunrise, but I did find some morning color when I got to the top of the ridge

I ventured on a 5 mile saunter and saw beauty in the grandeur of the mountains and in the intricacy of the flowers.

The first flower is a False Hellebore. The one that looks like a troll needing a haircut is a Pasqueflower Seedhead and the last is my new personal favorite, a Mountain Bog Gentian.

I saw no wildlife except for the ever present chipmunk
